Hotel Description

Mingle Place by The Park is located in the historical heritage district of Wanchai, in a half-century-old vintage 1960's "balcony" style "Tong Lau" residential building — typical architecture for the period.

It is the Mingle Place Group's attempt to bring you back in time to the old colonial days of Hong Kong.

The Hong Kong today is different from "the old days", and we have a strong aspiration to show you what we remember, experienced, knew and saw in our early lives, which we all treasure and hope to share.

The building itself is a historical building more than 50 years old, and we try our best to retain everything original.

We operate this hotel for one purpose, and that is to enable you to learn more about historical Hong Kong and to experience the lives of people in early 1960's.

We treasure your experience very much and we welcome any suggestions to make your stay even more unique, enjoyable, and memorable.

I was very pleasantly surprised by the hotel, which from the outside does not seem to amount to much and is even easy to miss because the entrance is so narrow and you have to walk up a flight of stairs to get to the reception. I had booked one of the most expensive rooms based on the idea that it is better to be a big fish in a small pond and it is a gamble that paid off. For much less than the most basic room costs at one of the bigger hotels I got a very large bed, a balcony, A/C, modern bathroom, free wifi and a room decently sized and stylishly decorated with white brick walls and dark wood furniture. The hotel is spotless, the staff very polite and helpful, and they would work around my schedule to clean the room so that I was never inconvenienced. I highly recommend this hotel, their better rooms are good value for money and the hotel is ideally located for tourists who want to explore the city.

Good things about this hotel: - Good price according to its location - Good theme with the old style concept - Good entertainment system - Comfy pillows Bad things about this hotel: - No Lift - Room is very small no room for suitcase or bags - No room service - Very Noise from the main street specially bus - Quite far from the MTR both Wan Chai and Causeway Bay. is good to travel on a budget~

I had the top-end rom with balcony, the downside: the very busy Wai Chan road makes it impossible to use it other than for a quick glance outside. Also, there is a biz/appartment block on the opposite side of the road very close, so, if you are somebody who does not like to display him or herself, you better let the kindly provided venetian blinds down all the time. And no, there is no elevator and nobody to take your luggage. Other than that: very friendly and helpful staff, nice rooms (toilet brush missing), clean, and very nicely situated in Wai Chan. Plus, it has that extra flair, a normal biz hotel and most tourist hotels will never have. If you get a good rate: go for it!

I have stayed at this hotel several times because it's conveniently located and clean. It's a walk up so if you cannot hike up several floors to get to your room, this hotel is not for you. Also my husband and I joke that this is the world's tiniest hotel-the rooms barely have enough space for a suitcase. However, it's conveniently located, has cable TV and WiFi which makes it perfect for a business traveler on the budget.
