This hotel is superbly situated at the edge of the small town of Tanah Rata from where there are numerous touristic possibilities. The room we were allocated represented an up-grade and there was nothing about the hotel that I could fault. The service generally was excellent and nothing appeared to be too much trouble. Make sure you take full advantage of the jungle walks (particularly the one to Robinson Waterfall), honey farms, strawberry farms, tea plantations etc. Our trip to Sam Poh Temple in the neighbouring town of Bringchang resulted in an invitation to take lunch with the monks (fortunately one of our party was a student of Mandarin Chinese otherwise it might have been a lunch in silence!). The tandoori chicken, rice and cheese nan served outside at the Tamil restaurant in the town centre is excellent value for money - do not be put off by the rickety tables and the lack of table covers. The service was very good. We were expected at the hotel and everything, including an upgraded room, awaited us.

The hotel is very good. The room we had was spacious, well maintained and had a balcony. The location of the hotel is excellent - a short walk to the centre of town. The buffet breakfast was excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful. Altogether - highly recommended.

The hotel seems understaffed and the waiting time for check in and out is longer than usual. The staff can be more efficient while providing technical assistance to the rooms too. The spa was very good with a nice envronment and the staff was very friendly.
