My husband and I, with our two young children(5yrs &9yrs) stayed at the Golden Sands 3 Apartments in May 2009, we booked a 2 room Studio, which was excellent, it was spacious, the rooms were cleaned everyday by very helpful and friendly cleaners, we had 2 bathrooms/toilets, satelite tv, kitchenette was well equipped, fridge, 2 ring cooker, plenty of utensils, and main plus bonus- a washer/dryer- so could keep up on the washing - I done all mine before coming home (yipee). The swimming pool is ok, but there is no shallow end for young kids(pool all the same depth). I have a 5 yr old and she had water wings and still managed to have a great time, the shopping area of Bur Dubai is approx 5-8 mins walk the area where the hotel is, is nice and you have all amenities within reach, taxis are always outside, easy to get this year, not at all like previous years. We have been coming to Dubai every year for the past 8 yrs and Golden Sands is one of the nice places we like to stay, family friendly and centrally located, we will definately book again - value for money without breaking the bank. :-)
